Cream Tea Scones
Light, fluffy scones served with clotted cream and jam - the perfect afternoon treat.

๐ฅ Ingredients
- 350g self-raising flour, plus extra for dusting
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 85g cold butter, cubed
- 3 tbsp caster sugar
- 175ml milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg, beaten (for glazing)
- Clotted cream and jam to serve

Preheat oven to 220ยฐC (425ยฐF). Line a baking tray.

Mix flour and baking powder, rub in butter until like breadcrumbs.

Stir in sugar, then add milk and vanilla to form soft dough.

Pat out to 3cm thick, cut with 6cm cutter.

Place on tray, brush with beaten egg.

Bake for 10-12 minutes until risen and golden.

Serve warm with clotted cream and strawberry jam.
