Basbousa (بسبوسة)

  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • For syrup: 1½ cups sugar, 1 cup water, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 1 tsp rose water
