  • 1 cup ada (rice flakes), soaked
  • 1½ cups jaggery, grated
  • 2 cups thick coconut milk (first extract)
  • 3 cups thin coconut milk (second extract)
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • ½ cup cashews
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder
  • ½ tsp dry ginger powder

    Cook soaked ada in thin coconut milk until soft.

    In separate pan, melt jaggery with ½ cup water, strain to remove impurities.

    Add jaggery syrup to cooked ada, simmer 10 minutes.

    Add ghee, cardamom, and dry ginger.

  5. 5

    Just before serving, add thick coconut milk. Don't boil after this.

  6. 6

    Fry cashews and raisins in ghee, add on top.

  7. 7

    Serve warm or at room temperature.
