๐Ÿฅ„ Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 1/2 cups bread flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Sesame or poppy seeds

    Dissolve yeast in warm water with pinch of sugar.

    Mix flour, sugar, and salt.

    Add yeast mixture, eggs, and oil. Knead until smooth.

    Rise 1.5 hours until doubled.

    Divide dough, form 6 strands per loaf.

    Braid traditionally.

    Rise 45 minutes.

    Egg wash and sprinkle with seeds.

    Bake at 350ยฐF for 28-32 minutes.
