- ½ cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp saffron threads (optional)
- 1 cup warm water
- Pinch of salt
- Oil for deep frying
- Date syrup (dibs) for drizzling
- Sesame seeds for garnish
