  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1 cup water
  • Pinch of salt
  • Banana leaves, cut into squares
  • For filling:
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • ½ cup jaggery, grated
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

    Boil water with salt, add rice flour, stir to form dough. Cool.

    Mix coconut, jaggery, cardamom, and sesame for filling.

    Wilt banana leaves over flame to soften.

    Take small ball of dough, flatten on banana leaf.

    Add filling in center, fold leaf to enclose.

    Steam for 15-20 minutes.

    Let cool slightly before opening leaves.

    Serve warm.
