- 1 cup raw rice flour
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup jaggery, grated
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup grated coconut
- ½ tsp cardamom powder
- Pinch of baking soda
- Ghee or coconut oil for frying
- Coconut pieces (optional)

Dissolve jaggery in ½ cup warm water, strain.

Mix rice flour, all-purpose flour, and baking soda.

Add jaggery water to make thick batter.

Add mashed bananas, coconut, and cardamom.

Let rest 30 minutes.

Heat ghee in unniyappam pan (or use aebleskiver pan).

Pour batter into each mold, add coconut piece if using.

Cook on low heat, flip when edges set.
