Saffron wheat flour halva - the classic Persian memorial sweet.

🥄 Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup butter or ghee
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups water
- ½ tsp saffron in 2 tbsp hot water
- 2 tbsp rose water
- ½ tsp cardamom
- Sliced almonds and pistachios for garnish

Make sugar syrup: boil water with sugar until dissolved. Add saffron and rose water.

In another pan, melt butter, add flour.

Stir constantly on medium-low heat until golden and fragrant (15 mins).

Carefully add sugar syrup to flour mixture (it will splutter).

Stir vigorously until smooth and thick.

Add cardamom, mix well.

Pour into serving dish, smooth top.

Decorate with nuts in pattern.

Serve warm or at room temperature.
